Inspiration & References  

This col­lec­tion is inspired mainly by the begin­nings of the brand. It’s a clear trib­ute to Coco’s main inno­va­tions in the fash­ion world.

 The 80′s is a period usu­ally revis­ited by Karl Lagerfeld to add fresh­ness and youth to the collections:

The rock star look is also a fea­ture that adds cool­ness to the col­lec­tions. He uses them in a sub­tle way, in small doses:

He is inspired by Rembrandt’s mas­ter­pieces. This era was very rich in gar­ment con­struc­tions. He revises “the ruff” in all it’s pos­si­bil­i­ties, trans­form­ing an old tra­di­tional piece, into some­thing mod­ern. He also reval­ues the con­cept of the col­lar as a detach­able item:

These are the 4 main out­fits that can sum-up the col­lec­tion. All the other out­fits are inspired by them. The designer plays with these sil­hou­ettes, col­ors, mate­ri­als, treat­ments and con­struc­tion to develop the full col­lec­tion. This is the way design­ers rein­force the pro­posal for the season.

Separates   

These are Karl Lagerfeld pro­pos­als on how to com­bine gar­ments with each other cre­at­ing the total look.

Constant Features   

It shows how an idea is devel­oped by the designer. For eg. below, he wants to high­light the neck­line  and cuffs. To achieve this goal, he uses dif­fer­ent resources to keep the focus rein­forc­ing the concept.
